Ajaokuta Lawmaker Praises KERC, Pledges Support

The Kogi State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has hosted the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Rt Hon Sani Egidi Abdulraheem, at its headquarters in Lokoja.

During the visit, the federal lawmaker expressed joy over the commission's efforts to improve power supply in the state especially the recent off grid operating Licence issued to Developers to capture the underserved and unserved regions in Kogi state. He said, he is confident on the expertise and dedication of KERC leadership to up scale Kogi state electricity market.

Rt Hon Abdulraheem praised the Chairman/CEO of KERC, Engr Ibrahim S. Abdwaaris, for his integrity, hard work, and open-door policy, which he said has been instrumental in driving the commission's progress. He also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's vision for the electricity sector, saying it has created opportunities for economic growth and job creation in the state.

Rt Hon Abdulraheem pledged to Support KERC's efforts to improve power supply, saying the commission's success is crucial to the state's economic development.

In response, Engr Ibrahim S. Abdwaaris thanked Rt Hon Abdulraheem for his usual support and assured that KERC would continue to work towards providing a regulatory framework that will enable qualitative and affordable electricity services to all parts of the state.

Engr Abdwaaris highlighted the commission's plans to leverage the expertise of its staff to drive improvements in the electricity sector, saying KERC is committed to realizing the objectives of its establishment.

Engr Abdwaaris expressed gratitude for the lawmaker's recognition of the commission's efforts, saying it motivates them to do more. He assured that KERC will deploy its vast experiences and expertise to ensure stable, cost reflective and efficient electricity supply, which will in turn boost economic activities and improve the quality of life for citizens.
