The Chairman/CEO of Kogi State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) praised Kogi Electricity Distribution Limited (KEDL) for engaging stakeholders but warned against unethical practices like indiscriminate disconnections and actions that erode customer trust. He emphasized the need for mutual respect and cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure the program’s success. KEDL’s Acting MD/CEO revealed a loss of over ₦5 billion in the first half of 2025 due to energy theft and expressed gratitude to the Governor for establishing a Special Court and Task Force to address the issue swiftly. Appeal to Consumers: Electricity users were urged to pay for their consumption and avoid theft to help KEDL improve service delivery and reinforce the power network.
